Behaviour management

At Forest Lake State School we believe everyone has the right to work and learn in a safe and supportive environment.  A Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Framework provides a whole school approach to student acknowledgement and discipline and aligns with our school mission  'Learning knows no boundaries: every child experiencing success and accomplishment every day'.

We have developed proactive systems to explicitly teach and support appropriate behaviour and create positive environments for all school members.  Students are acknowledged through the Frankie reward system and effective interventions are used for inappropriate behaviour through a clear and consistent consequence system.  The PBL team meet regularly to discuss the schoolwide implementation of PBL and school staff are regularly briefed on PBL priorities during staff meetings.
