Forest Lake State School has a proud history of sporting excellence. In addition to offering students the opportunity to represent the school in interschool and representative level sports, students also participate in regular Health and Physical Education lessons. The goal of the Health and Physical Education Program at Forest Lake State School is: 

• To support, promote and improve physical activity and skills
• To develop fundamental movement, coordination and manipulative skills
• To offer representative sporting opportunities for students in Years 5 & 6
• To encourage participation; to achieve personal goals; to develop lifelong appreciation of physical activity for good health and well-being
• Continue to acknowledge/celebrate student outcomes within school and wider community (Website, It’s Thursday, Lake News)
The program strives to achieve the following objectives:• For all students to have one PE lesson per week and for students to have one dance lesson per week.• To promote Self control, Persistence, Organisation, Respect, Team player• For all students to participate in Sports Day and Cross Country. • For students to have access to sporting equipment at lunch breaks
